Breakfast. Drive to Antsirabe (170km/ 4hrs). City sightseeing by rickshaw to discover the town of Antsirabe. Dinner and overnight at Le Couleur Café Hotel.
The water town, Antsirabe, also known as the Vichy of Madagascar with its thermal sources, its sacred lakes and overhanging mountains. Antsirabe is also very involved in the agricultural field as well as with regards handicraft activities. Nature lovers may, on their way, stop at the insect’s sanctuary or just enjoy a pleasant trip in rickshaw.
Breakfast. Drive to Miandrivazo (246km/5hrs). Dinner and overnight at Soa Lia Hotel.
The city of Miandrivazo is located between the Bemaraha plateau (in the west of the island) and the Bongolava range. It is a typical Malagasy city, with cattle breeding as the main activity of the inhabitants. Tobacco and cotton crops, on either side of the alleys, set a folk- style background, enhanced by the traditional Malagasy houses that pervade this city, considered the hottest of Madagascar.
Breakfast. Drive to Masiakampy (35km/ 45mns). Arrival at the cascade. Bath. Installation of the camping. Lunch, Dinner on board the barge. Campfire on the beach. Night under tent.
Starting the cruise, you will cross cultivated and extended plains, sail near the banks and gorges of the Tsiribihina River and meet villagers belonging to the “Sakalava” ethnicity, whose houses are mainly built of wood and their roofs are made of rice or palm trees.
Chameleons and unusual birds can be observed. Stop to relax and swim at the waterfall of Nosy Ampela (the island of women). The camp will be installed on a large sand bench nearby.
Second incursion in the swimming pool. Continuation of the trip and breakfast on board. Full-day watching the crocodiles, bats and other aquatic birds.
Visit of a fishermen village, possibility to purchase fresh fishes for the lunch. Lunch on board.
Stop and visit the forest of Ambatomainty to discover the Sifaka and other varieties of lemurs. Entry and crossing the plain of Menabe. Arrival in front of the village of Tsaraotana. Installation of the bivouac on the bank. Dinner on board the barge. Campfire on the beach. Night under tent.

Situated about 100 kilometers north of Morondava on Madagascar’s west coast, the small village of Belo sur Tsiribihina is a fascinating and historically significant place to visit. This region served as the birthplace of the Volamena dynasty, the Menabe Sakalava Kingdom. the remains of these rulers and their heirs are preserved.
Bekopaka is a town and commune (Malagasy: kaominina) in western Madagascar. It belongs to the district of Antsalova, which is a part of Melaky Region. The population of the commune was estimated to be approximately 9,000 in 2001. The most important crop is rice, while other important products are bananas, maize and cassava.

The protected area of Tsingy de Bemaraha in the west of adagascar consists of a national park and strict nature reserve. The site is unique with its biodiversity and exceptional landscape called the Tsingy – which can be translated into “where one can only walk on tiptoe”.
The Bemaraha Massif is a very rugged limestone massif with numerous caves and an impressive canyon carved by the Manambolo River. The western part of the plateau has a very sharp relief, covered in large parts by dense dry forest. This true limestone cathedral offers one of the most spectacular natural landscapes in the world! In the eastern part, the forest is intersected by savannas.
The karstic massif of Bemaraha offers a variety of natural habitats with many different ecosystems, such as dense deciduous forest, bushy xerophytic vegetation on the tsingy (limestone plateau) and sub-humid forest in the valleys or low-laying wet areas between limestone blocks as well as wooded or grassy savanna.
The park is home to lemurs, terrestrial and aquatic birds, bats, amphibians, reptiles, endemic mammals and at least 650 plant species.

Morondava is a city located in Menabe Region, of which it is the capital. It is located in the delta of the Morandava River The city is famous amongst other things for the spectacular Avenue of Baobabs nearby at 20.251000°S 44.418403°E. These giant baobab trees are an 800-year-old legacy of the
dense tropical forests that once throve here. Over the years, as the country’s population grew, the forests were steadily cut down, leaving only the baobab trees, which the locals preserved for religious reasons. Baobab Alley
