Tour Plan

Day 1 Windhoek. Meal: High Tea, Lunch, Dinner

Meet and greet at the airport, transfer to the Voigtland Guesthouse. Voigtland Guesthouse is delightfully different and combines an atmosphere of old world charm with a unique modern style. Meet Namibia’s cutest giraffes. Turn your visit into a highlight with our luxurious high-tea, followed by an unbelievable giraffe feeding experience right by your table. Originally built around 1900, the house is set on the slopes of a hill in a spacious landscape of trees, lawns and gardens.

Day 2 Drive to Etosha

Pick up in the morning and travelling 450 km north, to one of the most magnificent national parks of Africa, treasure of Namibia – Etosha National Park! You will be immediately surrounded by the African Savannah and rich, abundant wildlife. Time spent at the waterhole is a meditation of nature! Observing elephants, lions, giraffes, antelopes, rhinos, jackals, hyenas and zebras coming for a drink of water.

The abundance of game in Etosha National Park is somewhat unexpected, showcasing some of the most common and rarest wildlife species. The areas with thicker vegetation are home to elephant (some of the largest in Africa due to the vitamins and nutrients found in the ground), the endangered black rhino and even leopard. Lions are camouflaged in the pale-golden colour of the grasslands, while giraffes rise-high above most of the dry vegetation.

Birders will love the rainy season in Etosha. After good rains the salt pan fills with water attracting a cloud of flamingos. More than 340 bird species have been counted in Etosha National Park. Among the migratory species, the European bee-eater is possibly the most popular sighting. The game reserve is also home to the world’s largest bird, the ostrich, and the heaviest flying bird, the kori bustard.

Day 3 Etosha National Park

Full day unlimited game drive from sunrise till sunset, on the safari trails of Etosha! We are searching for wildlife freely roaming throughout the park; on the look-out for the Big Game deep into the savanna! With the eye of camera capturing the ‚theater of nature’.

Antelopes: springbuck, wildebeest, kudu, impala, gemsbok, hartebeest, oryx and steenbuck. Looking for magnificent African elephants, exotic giraffes, shy rhinos, playful jackals, curious warthogs and cheeky hyenas. Display of nature overwhelms and more then surpasses your expectations. Traveling through vast savanna, we are searching for the big cats of Etosha: lion, leopard and cheetah. Return to the camp before sunset and closing-up of the main gates of the park. Time at the waterhole spent in quiet stillness of the African evening.

Day 4 Tsumeb & Grootfontein

From Etosha, travelling north-east, through couple of small towns, Tsumeb & Grootfontein, farther on into African bush for meeting with Bushmen of Namibia, afternoon cultural experience in one of the Bushman Village. At the village, fascinating discovery of Bushmen’s customs and their traditional way of life.

Visit to the village take about 2 hours.

After visit at Bushman Village we are going back to the lodge for apetising dinner.

Duration: about 8 hrs including visits and stop-overs.

Day 5 Divundu

On our way to Divundu, small town in the north of Namibia, situated at the banks of the Okavango River (fourth largest river in Africa) bordering with Angola. Hippos, crocodiles and famous tiger fish plentifully inhabit the waters! You will spend the night at the lodge situated by the river, in the heart of nature.

Arrival at the lodge around lunch time, rest of the day is free for optional activities.

Optional excursion: Sunset cruise on Okavango River.

Distance: around 300 km (tarred roads).

Duration: around 4 hours with the stop-overs.

Day 6 Bwabwata National Park

Today morning & afternoon game drive inside Mahango Game Reserve & Bwabwata National Park.

Due to large concentrations of Elephant and Buffalo and still low tourist visits to this area, makes game drives in Mahango & Bwabwata very unique.

Accommodation: Nunda Campsite, Nunda River Lodge, Divava River Lodge or similar.

Distance: around 70 km inside NP.

Duration: 3 hours morning & afternoon game drive

Day 7 Caprivi Strip

In the morning, from Divundu we are on our way to small town of Kongola, travelling through lush and green Caprivi Strip, in the far north-east part of Namibia. Arrival at the safari lodge late afternoon. Lodge is situated in the Bwabwata National Park. In the afternoon game drive in Mudumu National Park in search for wildlife.

Duration: around 6 hours with the stop-overs.

Day 8 Mudumu

Today morning game drive in Kwando Core Area & in the afternoon drive to Mudumu for afternoon game drive. Huge African buffaloes and ‚gentle giants’ the elephants inhabit and freely roam through this region.

Distance: around 70 km.

Duration: morning & afternoon game drive.

Day 9 Botswana

From Bwabwata National Park we are travelling to small border town of Katima Mulilo, situated in the farthest north-east of Namibia, after Katima Mulilo we are crossing the border to Botswana. In the afternoon time for rest & optional activities.
Optional activity: 2 hour boat cruise on Chobe River, it’s excellent opportunity to watch wildlife from Chobe River.

Duration: around 6 hours with the stop-overs.

Day 10 Chobe National Park

Today morning and afternoon game drive inside Chobe National Park.

Distance: around 100 km mainly on sandy roads of Chobe NP.

Duration: around 3 hours morning & afternoon.

Day 11 Zimbabwe

After breakfast we are crossing over to Zimbabwe for your adventure with 7th Wonder of the World, Victoria Falls.

In the afternoon visit the Falls. The falls are inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Formed as the full width of the river plummets in a single vertical drop into a transverse chasm 1708 meters (5604 ft) wide, carved by its waters along a fracture zone in the basalt plateau. The depth of the chasm, called the First Gorge, varies from 80 meters (260 ft) at its western end to 108 meters (354 ft) in the center. The only outlet to the First Gorge is a 110 meters (360 ft) wide gap about two-thirds of the way across the width of the falls from the western end, through which the whole volume of the river pours into the Victoria Falls gorges.

Day 12 Victoria Falls

Today time for exploring optional activities in and around Victoria Falls.

Day 13 Zimbabwe-Ethiopia. Meal: Breakfast

On a last day in Zimbabwe, we bid “bye, bye!” to fascinating Victoria Falls! Afterwards, you will be transferred to Victoria Falls International Airport for your flight to Addis Ababa @1:35pm.

Arrival to Addis @21:40, flight duration with the technical stopover in Gaborone is 7 hours 35 minutes.

On your arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, after clearing immigration and customs welcome by your guide and get transferred to your hotel.

Day 14 Debre Libanos and the Blue Nile River Gorge. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After Breakfast, pick up from the hotel at 8am and then head north on the Gojjam road to Debre Libanos, about 110km from Addis Ababa or approximately two hours’ drive. Debre Libanos is an important monastic center for Ethiopian Orthodox Christianity, the monastery there was founded by the renowned 13th century mystic, Saint Tekle Haimanot and there is a small cave near the church (where he is said to have stood for seven years on one leg, until the other wasted away and dropped off. Further to the Blue Nile River Gorge there is a drop of nearly 1000 meters to the valley below. There are a lot of Birds and the endemic Gelada or bleeding heart baboons. In the gorge you could find variety of vultures – Lamergeyer’s, Ruppell’s and Lappet faced vultures. Proceed to the church and then make the climb to the cave of St Teklehaimanot.  Near the cave monks may show visitors the remains of some 300 monks, slaughtered in 1936 by the Italian invaders.  Mussolini and the fascist authorities saw the Ethiopian Orthodox Church as one of the key elements of an independent Ethiopian identity and thought that by carrying out the massacre they would cow the Church and by extension the Ethiopian people into submission. Up the hill from the cave from the top there’s a great view of the surrounding countryside. At some stage takes a picnic lunch in a scenic spot or in a local restaurant Leave Debre Libanos around 4.30 PM, returning to Addis Ababa early evening.

Day 15 Addis-Ababa. Meal: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

After breakfast, around 9am you will meet your guide in the lobby.

Addis Ababa is the largest city of Ethiopia and its capital city at the same time. Addis Ababa, which in Amharic means “a new flower”, is located in the center of the country, 2100- 2300m above the sea. Addis Ababa is a pleasant city with interesting museums and one of the largest open-air markets in Africa, “Mercato”. Addis Ababa is Africa’s diplomatic capital with headquarters for the Organization of African Unity and the United Nation Economic Commissions for Africa.

A visit of the National Archaeological Museum It housed the 3.5 million-year-old bones of Lucy. Lucy is believed to be the ancestor of all Human kind. It has lots of ancient exhibits that reflect the importance of Ethiopia as the “Cradle of Mankind‟. Visit St. George’s Cathedral (Giorgis Cathedral) which lies at the north end of Churchill Rd. Designed in the traditional octagonal shape, this cathedral was built in 1896 to commemorate Ethiopia’s victory over the Italians at the Battle of Adwa.  And a visit of Merkato; the Largest open Market in Africa; where virtually every possible commodity is on sale, from livestock to computers. It is closed on Sundays & for a visitor good at bargaining, there is a huge selection of Ethiopian arts and crafts.

Tonight, you will have a wonderful cultural evening at one of the restaurants in Addis Ababa; Ethiopia is a mosaic of peoples with over 80 languages, different lifestyles, costumes and cultural dances. Take the chance to taste some of these cultural dances and traditional dishes with Tej, a type of wine made from honey.

Day 16 Addis-Ababa-Seychelles. Meal: Breakfast

Earlie breakfast, check-out, transfer to the airport, flight to Seychelles @9:35am. After the immigration procedures you will meet our driver around @13pm. Transfer to the hotel!

Breakfast, then site inspection for the Mahe based properties and sightseen tour with Lunch.

Discover more of the Seychelles – you to focus on the scenery rather and get the chance to discover the main market of Mahe island located in the capital of Seychelles, Victoria. Along the way to the market, you will discover Victoria whilst receiving explanations on the history of the capital and the monuments and the different varieties of fresh fish caught on the day, exotic fruits, spices, local artifacts and other souvenirs.

Discover some of the Seychelles’ most beautiful spots on this boat ride from Victoria. Head out onto the water and cruise to St. Anne Marine National Park, which is made up of five islands. Jump offboard and snorkel around Moyenne Island or hike around the island, which is home to many giant tortoises. Enjoy a barbecue buffet lunch of local Seychelles cuisine.
