This tour crated for travel professionals to discover the Pearl of Africa – Uganda and Karibu Zanzibar – welcome to the most famous Island in Africa, where the Ocean Meets Culture!  On your way through these beautiful countries, you will enjoy safari in 5 Ugandan National Parks, the Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale and Gorilla tracking (optionally – permit have to be applied two weeks in advance), as well, relaxing at the Indian Ocean and introduction to the Zanzibar Hospitality Infrastructure.

Uganda is a country in East Africa. It is a member of the British Commonwealth. It comes from the word Buganda – ganda is the name of the local Bu tribe – an indicator of the land belonging to the tribe. The autonomy of 5 kingdoms is recognized. It is inhabited by Bantu peoples, Nilots and other representatives of Central African tribes. It borders on Sudan in the north, on the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the west, on Rwanda and Tanzania in the south, on Kenya in the east. In the southeast is Lake Victoria. The population is about 40 million. The official languages ​​are English, Luganda and Swahili. The currency is the Ugandan shilling (100 dollars = 3700 shillings). Electricity 220V, British plug. Zanzibar archipelago consists of several smaller islands and two main islands: Unguja and Pemba. Turquoise clear water and fairytale white sand, coral reefs with over 600 species of fish, three different kind of dolphins, green turtles and the largest fish on the planet – the whale shark. Pleasant equatorial climate throughout the year and friendly locals. It is Zanzibar, a semi-autonomous state off the east coast of Africa, which has been forming the state of Tanzania since 1964 with the former mainland state Tanganyika. There are more than 1 million inhabitants on the island and the capital is Stone Town – a UNESCO World Heritage Site also known as the birthplace of the famous Queen singer Freddie Mercury. The state has its president and parliament, which has 50 deputies. The country’s largest source of income comes from tourism, seaweed and pepper cultivation (cloves, cinnamon, nutmeg and black pepper). Around 2000 hotels and resorts are ready to welcome tourists.

Tour Plan

Day 1 ENTEBBE-KIBALE. Meal: Breakfast, Dinner

Welcome to Uganda! After a warm welcome by our guide at Entebbe International Airport, you will be transferred to hotel. Breakfast. Settle in and prepare for the adventure that lies ahead.

Accommodation: Infinity Hotel/Boma Guest House or similar

Pick up around 11am, then drive from Entebbe to Kibale National Park, have a journey through Fort Portal, the capital of Tooro Kingdom, shadowed by the magnificent Rwenzori Mountains. Journey through lush tea plantations, arriving in Kibale National Park by afternoon.

Day 2 CHIMPANZEE TREKKING AND DRIVE TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK, Meal: Breakfast and Dinner

You will go for Chimpanzee tracking and enjoy a wonderful forest experience with these habituated chimpanzees. These engaging apes are closest to human beings and are great to watch being playful both on the ground and in the trees. In the afternoon, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is one of Uganda’s most popular parks, offering scenic game drives. It has a wide variety of wild animals and over 600 bird species, incorporating a wide variety of habitats that range from savannah to wetlands and lowland forests.

Day 3 MORNING GAME DRIVE WITH EXPERIENTIAL LION EXPERIENCE AND AFTERNOON BOAT RIDE ON KAZINGA CHANNEL. Meal: Breakfast, Dinner

Have an early morning game drive. There are over 100 mammal species that including lion, hippo, buffalo, leopard, spotted hyena, elephant, and the elusive giant forest hog in this park. You will also visit the salt lakes in Katwe before returning to the lodge. In the afternoon, you will have a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel. Here, you will have a chance to see different animals coming to the water, as well as a variety of bird species. Return to the lodge.

Day 4 DRIVE TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK. Meal: Breakfast, Dinner

Today, you will have an en-route visit to the southern part of Queen Elizabeth -Ishasha. This sector is notably known for its resident tree- climbing lions that are an exceptional attraction in the park. You will have a brief game drive in search of tree-climbing Lions. Continue to Bwindi, home to half of the world’s mountain gorilla population, , as well as unique bird species including 23 of the 24 Albertine Rift endemic bird species including the Blue-throated Broadbill, bar-tailed Trogon, and other beautiful forest species. Relax and prepare for an incredible gorilla trekking experience the next day.

Driving time to Buhoma: 2.5 to 3 hours (Northern Bwindi).

Driving time to Rushaga: About 6-7hours (Southern Bwindi).

Day 5 BWINDI. Meal: Breakfast, Dinner

Enjoy your morning walking safari in forest and ethnical excursion to the nearest village. Thereafter, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi; this lake has 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it almost magical. Proceed to the lodge and once settled in; you will have a canoe boat ride on this beautiful lake and relax at the lodge.

Optionally – After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing and set off for an unforgettable gorilla trekking journey. Led by experienced rangers, the trek which takes between 2 and 7 hours will be challenging but deeply rewarding as you get to spend a full hour in close proximity with a gorilla family.

Day 6 DRIVE TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK. Meal: Breakfast, Dinner

Today, you will proceed to Lake Mburo National Park, the smallest of Ugandan National Parks. As you enter, the park, you will enjoy a game drive in search of animals like impalas, zebras, elands, and many other antelopes. Proceed to the lodge for an overnight.

Day 7 DRIVE TO KAMPALA FLY TO ZANZIBAR. Meal: Breakfast

Early in the morning have a guided nature walk, this walk you will see giraffes, zebras and waterbucks and many more. Later, drive to Entebbe for your international flight to Zanzibar.

After the immigration procedure in Zanzibar you will be transferred to the hotel in Stone Town. Enjoy the island nightlife, try street food or visit of the local restaurants.

Time in flight: from 1 hour 50 minutes

Day 8 STONE TOWN-UROA. Meal: Breakfast, Dinner

After breakfast, check out. 9am you will meet a guide. You’ll visit some of the most important sights around stone town city including the Freddie Mercury Museum, the Old Fort (Ngome Kongwe), the House of Wonders (Beit-el-Ajaib) and former slave market. You will also learn the culture of Zanzibar people and the ways of their living. Here you will embark on a journey through Stone Town’s rich history with this walking tour that takes you to a narrow streets of stone town to see local street foods. Discover the old part of Zanzibar city with stories from the original local people, and visit landmarks such as, Forodhani Garden, Jaws Corner, and Darajani market. At 1pm transfer to the Uroa area and check-in to the hotel!

Day 9 ZANZIBAR. Meal: Breakfast, Dinner

On this day, depending on the watertight time, you will enjoy the boat ride with the snorkeling.  (The excursion duration – around 2 hours)

On this day you will be offered to make a site inspection for some of the Zanzibar properties.
